Repairing Damaged Surface of Hydraulic Column by Laser Cladding Technology

The hydraulic support column is the part that connects the hydraulic support beam with the base, and it bears the main load-bearing part of the load type support of the roof. In the process of use, the outer surface of the column is easy to corrode and wear until the hydraulic support fails. If the damaged column is directly scrapped, it is neither green nor economical. Therefore, it is necessary to re repair the outer surface of the column so as to achieve the reuse of waste.

Laser cladding is a surface strengthening technique. It is with different filler alloy powder was placed in the surface of the substrate by laser cladding, alloy powder as a heat source will be rapidly melting, forming a coating with excellent properties on the surface of the substrate, so as to achieve the purpose of strengthening on the surface of the workpiece. The metallurgical bonding between the laser cladding coating and the substrate is high, and the powder composition of the cladding layer can be flexibly selected according to the working conditions. In addition, the cladding layer has a certain thickness, and the damaged surface can be repaired so that the workpiece to be repaired meets the technical standards of the new part.

The length of the hydraulic support bracket to be repaired shall be 700mm long, and the repaired area shall be 468mm long. After turning, the column diameter is 83.5mm. The column of the hydraulic support to be repaired is shown in figure 1.
